Gemstones can aid you during the holidays.

The holidays can be stressful, joyful and downright wearying. Gemstones can aid your health and allow you to enjoy or navigate through this time. Emotional trauma or stress such as grief can trigger the harshest diseases. We have to remember to treat the stress, the disease and our emotional well-being all at the same time. If we can calm our mind and disarm the stress, our bodies can heal themselves with the tools we give it such as rest, herbal teas and remedies, vitamins, minerals and nutritional foods.

I suggest putting together a gemstone first-aid kit. The minimum amount of stones in this kit would be: Amethyst, Carnelian, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz and Shungite. I also recommend expanding this kit to include: Amber, Black Tourmaline, Bloodstone, Citrine, Blue Lace Agate, Iolite, Red Jasper and Selenite. These additional stones will allow you to balance your chakras as well as provide protection from negativity.

Grief can be overbearing as well for those loved ones who are no longer earthbound. A single stone or any combination of Azurite, Danburite, Chiastolite, Scolecite, Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz, Shungite and/or Amethyst can help to relieve some of the emotional pain as well as restore a more positive outlook.

Having problems sleeping? Anxiety acting up and keeping you awake. Try putting lepidolite next to your bed at head level or under your pillow. Add Scolecite and Amethyst to boost the relaxation level. Do this one or two nights at a time, taking a few nights off for the stones to be more effective. Your body can get used to the vibrations emanating from stones.

Stressed? Some general stones to use are Fluorite, Morganite, Amber, Aragonite, Amethyst, Azurite, Green Calcite, Aquamarine, Scolecite and Blue Celestite (Angelite).

Overeating or not eating properly is a main theme of this time of year. Amazonite, Red Jasper, Carnelian, Apatite, Shungite are just a few stones you can use. Red Jasper, Carnelian and Shungite each encourages healthy eating, cleanses and detoxifies digestive system, increases energy and promotes healthy habits while also relieving that bloated feeling. Amazonite benefits the metabolism. Apatite (Yellow in particular) decreases cravings and hunger, encourages healthy eating, raises metabolism, and aids digestion and elimination.

Above all, I recommend taking time to balance your chakras.
